This weekend, talented young chef Harvey competes in the regional finals of FutureChef 2010, with a chance to win through to the national final in March.

Back in November, Harvey cooked up a storm, to take first place in the local round. On the day, his dish of pan fried sea bass and mushroom risotto so impressed  David Colcombe, head chef and chief director at award winning Birmingham restaurant Opus, he asked if he could be Harvey's mentor for the remainder of the competition. Harvey, 14 has also been offered two weeks work experience and a chance to work with individual chefs to perfect his dishes.

Whatever the outcome on Saturday, we are sure that there will be no stopping this natural talent.
