Why study Health and Social Care?

Did you know that the largest employer in this country is the National Health Service, or NHS? They offer a whole range of employment from consultants, nurses and radiographers to plumbers, electricians and receptionists. In health and social care you will receive a broad understanding of skills and knowledge required for such jobs.

What will I study?

Health and social care covers all aspects of health and social care from cradle to grave. Depending on your qualifications you can chose either:

BTEC First Health and Social Care (level 2)

All units are internally assessed and graded by teachers and then externally verified by EDXCEL. An overall grade for the qualification is awarded to all learners who successfully complete all units. Grades awarded are Pass (C), Merit (B), Distinction (A) or Distinction * (A*)
