D&T

Why study Design & Technology?

D&T introduces students to a wide range of practical skills and crafts and design processes that will equip them for life outside of school. Whether working with food, cloth or wood and metal, students often develop a lifelong love for this subject. Today we live in a world where everthing around us is designed and fame and fortune can be found through D&T skills. Think of Jonathan Ive, who designs your iPod for Apple, or top chef Gordon Ramsay. They and many others started with D&T in British schools.

What will I study?

Three aspects of D&T are studied at George Dixon International school:

FOOD

RESISTANT MATERIALS

TEXTILES
