Year 9s become teachers

For the past few weeks students in Year 9 have been going down to City Road Primary School. They have been working with Year 3 children, teaching them Spanish.
So far they have done basic greetings and numbers. The children really seem to be picking it up well and they are really enjoying themselves.
GD students have been working hard between lessons to plan their sessions and make all the resources they need to be able to teach the Year 3 children. Many of them said they have found teaching is harder than they thought it was, but they are enjoying themselves anyway!

I like the website. I like the piture's on the blog. I really like the activity's. It made me feel great to learn spanish. I learn so much about spanish. It is nice to learn another language.

we enjoyed learning spanish it was awrsome! we have always wanted to learn spanish now we have. we enjoyed learning the colours & animals. learning spanish was a life changing experience, it was very fun. I would like to meet a spanish person. I would like to go to spain. I would like to eat a spaniish meal. we would like to to see spanish toys & spanish clothes.

I liked the website that you showed us that is called linguascope. i think that i liked the animals names in spanish and it was fun. The picture\'s gave us a clue to the answers.

i enjoyed teaching at the primary school because i used it as abit of furthur experience in my career of being a carer . i liked working with the children because they were all polite and had manners and i would reccomend that miss smith continues to do this with her other spanish classes

I enjoyed working with the youngsters i likied the fact that i was helping them to learn new words a diffrent language.The youngsters made me feel welcome.I also prepared my work the work wasnt to easy nither to hard it was just right we also played games liked matching the words to the pictures or speling the words.I enjoyed teaching the youngsters because i know i learned sonethng and so did they.

I enjoyed working with year 3 students at City road school. It was challenging but at the same time it was very good, and i would love to do it again'XD

i did enjoy this project because i had got to show younger pupils my experiences of words in spanish and i how i could also teach them it aswell since they dont learn that in primary school.

It was a good experience teaching basic spanish to the year 3 children.After teaching the children, I was more confident in leadership and had a more experience of teaching.

I have had a really good time so far enjoying and taking part in different activities with the children. The best thing I enjoyed doing was communicating and listening to other kids expressing themselves and having a good time all together.

I thought that teaching was a good experience for me and teaching is not is also when you teach you must plan your lesson for next time and make sure you have everything ready on time. when i teached year 3 i thought that it was good experiance for me and when you get big it will be easier to plan and teach your lesson.

I thought that working with the year 3 student at city road primary school was challeging and good. I foud out that teaching students and planning lessons is much harder than i thought.

due in the time that i was teaching yr3's at city rd primary i have found out that teaching is harder than it seems and i also thought that i wouldn't enjoy it but it was alright in the end.

I enjoyed teach these year 3's spanish even though I wasnt there for the first couple of lessons, it was very enjoyable. The kids at the school were very entyertaining and learnt fast which made my job easier.

I loved teaching little kids because it was a great experiance and it was good for getting out of lesson but I have learned alot from this experiance. Everybody i worked with was good at comunicating and really interactive.

I really enjoyed teaching the year 3 pupils; they learnt alot in their lessons and I enjoyed their company. If I could do it all again then i surely would. I really liked this experience. Thank You Year 3's.

I loved teaching little kids because it was a great experiance and it was good for getting out of lesson but I have learned alot from this experiance. Everybody i worked with was good at comunicating and really interactive.

I had 7 year 3 pupils to teach and they enjoyed it sometimes they got abit too excited and had to be reminded they were still in school, apart from that i liked going to the school and teaching them it was nice to do something different and see what it was actually like to teach.
