Dear Year 10 Applied Business,

Sorry I can't be with you today but that doesn't mean a free lesson I'm afraid. Last lesson we were working on types of ownership and I want you to show me you understand all the different types we covered.

I want you to produce a guide to give to Yr9s who want to know about the different ownerships we have in the UK. Use Publisher if you can to produce the guide, it should have a page on each of the following:

Sole Trader

Partnership

Private & Public Limited Companies (including the difference between the two)

Franchise

Co-operative

LLP (find out what this means)

For each one you need to provide a definition of what the ownership is, the advantages and disadvantages of this type and some real examples of businesses.

Use images and colour to make your guides interesting, you should also include a title page. I want to display some of these and show them to parents on Yr9 options evening so be creative.
