A personal message from Wilma Brandy Headteacher
George Dixon International School and Sixth Form College is one of the oldest established schools in the city. Its history goes back well over 100 years. Through each generation it has adapted and changed to meet the unique needs of its students.
The backgrounds of our students are multinational. Over thirty different countries are represented in the school. This international dimension has brought a richness and vitality to our school community, which is unique and exciting. To recognise our international community and to best meet the needs of our students, George Dixon International School and Sixth Form College now offers courses of study leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma, a qualification recognised and respected all over the world.
I am confident that parents can rely on the school to prepare students for responsible citizenship and the world of work. Our committed staff, supported by colleagues in the Birmingham Education Authority work to provide children with an education that will help them achieve to the fullest of their potential.
I strongly urge you to give our school most serious consideration when making decisions about your child's future education.
